Abstract
This work involves the artisanal production process of a decorative sheet from Carludovica palmata, which represents one of the highly resistant vegetable fibres and recycled PET plastic flakes in combination of polyester resin as a general finish. This proposal for building material for indoor housing stems from the need to reduce pollution problems at environmental level, due to the excessive use of single-use plastics and to incentivise the application of alternative natural materials. In this regard, the optimal proportions of the resin for solidification are analysed without affecting both plastic and vegetable fibre components. As a result, a decorative sheet is produced in proportions applicable to translucent elements.
