Education of the future, the future of education in Mexico

Abstract

The aim of this work is to analyse the foresight of education in Mexico over a time horizon. from 2020 on the basis of the main changes in the economic, political and social environment. The central analysis scenario is based on the achievement of quality, coverage and relevance targets designed for the attention of higher education, knowledge generation, dissemination and application scientific, technological, cultural and human is determined by the forms of institutional governance of the sector education, science and technology and for opening up and contributing new sources of funding. The the research method used focused mainly on the analysis of trends in formulation of strategies and policies. The economic and political implications of educational transformations mean that rethink and redefine the role of higher education and to scale up the activities of the institutional transformation processes with their impact on economic growth and social development. Only challenges for higher education involve rethinking its role and mission in order to set up strategies alternatives for the future in a sustainable development framework, a culture of peace and a comprehensive ethics.
