Abstract
El study proposes to identify the strategies used by the Peruvian written press to represent femicide in two national newspapers: Trade and Trome. Following the review of 1,440 copies of newspapers for the period 2012-2013, three discursive repertoires in dispute in the representation of femicide were identified from the Critical Analysis of the Speech: a criminal directory, the repertoire of patriarchy and the mass crisis and, finally, a directory of rights associated with the visibility of femicide. However, it takes precedence over the representation of murders of women as ‘pastoral crimes’, which undermines the social nature of the feminicide act and helps to strengthen stereotypes that place women in subordination and devalue in relation to men.
