Abstract

The aim of this article is to investigate how the initial training of teachers in Pedagogia in universities and face-to-face colleges in the cities of bran located in the dry or river border region is provided. The study is based on a literature search with qualitative assumptions that sought to answer the questions: how is the initial training of teachers in Pedagogia in the border regions, particularly in the gourns, to work with multiculturalism in Brazilian schools with students from another country who communicate in another language? Is the process of teacher training in these regions geared towards critical intercultural education? As well as focusing on border and initial training, research also argues on multicultural issues and their facets. Literature analysis has shown that there are few scientific productions studying the initial training of teachers in Pedagogia at the border and that there is a need for further discussion on the subject. However, they pointed out that the initial training of teachers in these regions is mostly not focused on intercultural education, however they do not involve discussions on the topic.
