Abstract
Academic autonomy at the University is essential for the growth of the academy and research. However, this uniqueness may become an obstacle to student exchange, degree recognition and in general, to the proper interaction between students and researchers/teachers from different universities (inside and outside the country). The strengthening of educational programmes stems primarily from research processes. Today, in a globalised society, it is increasingly common to find students and teachers looking for academic and research exchanges in order to broaden their academic and professional profile. However, few universities are able to find similar universities to their current training and teaching processes. This article describes in detail, after two years of collection of qualitative and quantitative information, a common framework on teaching research in post-graduate education programmes. This framework seeks to start the discussion, from the social and human sciences, about the value and rigour that universities should have in the post-graduate research process. This will make it possible to create strategies for the exchange and strengthening of academic programmes from research.
