Accessibility recommendations on electronic marketplaces for blind users

Abstract

The text presents accessibility recommendations for websites of electronic trade from a systematic literature review. Were five scientific articles were analysed on the basis of three criteria, namely: (1) scientific studies with the main topic related to accessibility in electronic commerce pages, preferably studies conducted by means of user assessment; (2) scientific work published between 2014 and 2020 and (3) texts relevant to the scientific community, considering the Scopus and academic Google citation number indicators. Object identify accessibility recommendations that can be adopted on websites of electronic commerce. The search qualifies as qualitative, exploratory and bibliographic. To retrieve the investigations they have dealt with on accessibility in electronic trade, advanced basic searches were carried out. cited above, using the terms “accessibility” AND “e-commerce”. Were 24 recommendations relating to content language were identified; audio-visual elements, navigation and home page, search tool and information about products made available for supply in environments of the electronic commerce. Users who rely on technologies have been realised assistance for web use encounter associated barriers specifically to the context of electronic trade, making access impossible, as well as interpretation of information essential to the purchase of products in on-line modality. Finally, the study helped to list web accessibility recommendations for electronic commerce, and consequently, strengthen discussions that make the trading space virtual more inclusive, so that blind people have better browsing experiences on sites of that segment.
