Telma RECA in Argentina’s state health management (1930-1948)

Abstract

This article provides new information on Argentinian doctor Telma RECA (1904-1979), particularly with regard to his inclusion in academic fields and in state management from the thirtieth century onwards. We will focus on your career from your doctorate at the University of Buenos Aires (1932) to your withdrawal from the Maternity and Childhood Division of the National Department of Hygiene in 1948. During that period, it carried out its investigations into the study of the social conditions of juvenile delinquency and education in the state management. Its critical perspective, far from implementing punitive measures leading to greater social exclusion, sought to integrate minors into the community through education and health policies.
