Importance of student participation in university research on the mediation law

Abstract

Teaching and learning research with dedication and commitment to theory and practice have a number of advantages for students of law. Research bases and project formulation for higher education students in the field of law are currently absolutely necessary in order to strengthen the principles of formative and proper scientific research. This article presents the results of an investigation carried out with students as part of their training to analyse the need for the Arbitration and Mediation Act to set out in detail the grounds for mediation; it is of a qualitative, documentary, correlational, field, descriptive nature; the causes of the particular mediation centres in the canton Santo Domingo were taken as evidence, the survey and interview had to be used; it is clear that both mediators, lawyers and the general public are not clear about the transitory causes that can be mediated, which sometimes means that individuals do not seek mediation because they are not qualified to resolve their conflict in an alternative way. The results validate the importance of students participating in university research.
