Abstract
O Public Education Funding is a forum of dispute of power, in which the weaker party is the one on the one that is financed. In the current Brazilian scenario of announced financial recession, there is an urgent need to reflect on the issues surrounding this issue, but there is a risk of a loss of financial resources which until then, after a history of struggle, have been present in the public budget of the various governmental spheres. In this context, this discussion is deepened here, raising some historical, budgetary and educational aspects and proposing a critical reflection on the topic. Looking for the issue of public funding as one of the main pillars of support for public education capable of combating immobilisation between dominant and funded power and creating a revolutionary flag of discussion on the topic proposed here and its responsibility with public basic education, seen as a political act.
