The city loads many definitions with you. This is not only because there are cities of all species, but also because there are cities inside the city. The city is the most significant of the places which, in turn, are expressions of the world. The world takes place and the city is the world that speaks out more intensively. The city is drawn through the arts to do. However, the modern, globalised city is the expression of a bipartite world. Thus, the modern city, predominantly that of dismeeting and discarding – the city of immediate discarding – could be understood as the contradictory and dialectical expression, on the one hand, of hegemonical worlds of rationality and, on the other, of art making: worlds that are denied and also exist as a result of that denial. The modern city is the place of hurricanes interviewed internally by incapable cities, that of slow men. Incapacitated cities are the places of indignation, the desire for transformation and the assumed incompleteness which, paradoxically, extends as the art of living is reproduced.
