Abstract
El The objective of this article is to estimate the survival rate of micro-enterprises in Bogotá and to identify their main financial determinants. This is done by using information on the status of the micro-enterprise at the time of its creation, based on the financial statements of this type of enterprise provided by the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (ccb). This information includes the date on which the company was set up and closed, or if it is still active. as well as the economic sector to which it belongs, the number of employees and their initial financial statements. The work calculates the main financial reasons for profitability, indebtedness and liquidity, to make estimates with the help of duration models, in order to analyse the impact that each of these variables has on the life of the company. During the financial year, it was found that at the longer the duration of the business, its likelihood of closure is higher. In addition, within the determinants of duration are the number of employees, their initial operational profitability and their ability to generate revenue to service debt.
