Bullying at work or mobbing as a cause of accidents at work

Abstract

Analysing the influence of mobbing, as a factor causing accidents at work, is the general objective of this work, highlighting the problem of developing psychosocial risks that affect workers emotionally, physically and psychologically today. To this end, various expert authors were analysed, as well as the legal rules of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Lopcymat, its rules, the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador, the Equatorial Labour Code and the Equatorial Criminal Code. The type of research was documentary with a bibliographical design, the population was made up of doctrine and laws. The desk observation technique was also used as a review and analysis of documentary sources as well as content was carried out. As a result, mobbing was found to be one of the most serious psychosocial risk factors, as this process causes severe physical, emotional and psychological harm to the intentionally and intentionally harassed worker. In addition, it was concluded that psychoterror leaves its victims in a state of permanent hypersurveillance, which ultimately results in severe stress, and once exhausted, is likely not only to suffer an accident at work but also to become suicide.
