Abstract
In 1995, the Agreement on Identity and Law of Indigenous Peoples was signed in Guatemala. More than 20 years have passed, and although some progress has been made, every day there is an increase in claims and claims for non-compliance with what has been agreed. However, looking at the journey since the signing of the agreement, it can be established that the failure is not in what has been agreed, but in the lack of tolerance and education of some Guatemalans in order to achieve integration that identifies us as a community within a framework of respect and harmony.
