EvalCOMIX in Moodle: A means of encouraging students’ participation in e-evaluation

The new educational context created by the establishment of the European Higher Education Area suggests new assessment strategies based on skills assessment in which the student has to play an active role by participating in his/her own evening. However, the Moodle platform until today, except in very isolated cases, only allows teacher/pupil assessment. This work shows how to equip Moodle with this capability, adding two new evaluation methods (self-assessment and peer evaluation) using the EvalCOMIX tool, a web service specifically designed for this purpose.
