Abstract
The aim of this work is to analyse the advertisements of gays men in the Lampião de Corina newspaper and the Grindr app, with the aim of understanding the senses attributed by them to mydiatisation of the body in search by partners in different historical contexts. And to identify common aspects in the search process by partners in these forms of socialisation and to describe which parameters are used more frequently in the search by partners in these instruments. In order to achieve the objectives proposed, we take ownership of the theoretical and methodological assumptions of netnography. Three profiles were analysed in the corner Lampion and three in Grindr. To produce the data, we use the archive data contained in the announcements of the Lampião da Corina newspaper and the Grindr application. The search results show similarities in the presentation of users of the Lampion in the corner with those of Grindr. We also find connections with the aspects and parameters used in the search by partners such as physical carrying, similar tastes, living standards, race, etc. I infer from this that the practices used resemble the emphasis placed on the body and the market factor of this, and therefore the body as physical and aesthetically pleasant is basically the most attractive in choosing them.
