In view of the model of the mythic heroin day proposed by Joseph Campbell, of the individuation process prepared by Jung and of the heroin day drawn up by Ellen Douglas, Carol Christ and Annis Pratt, this work sets out the differences between the day of male hero and literary heroin in romances produced by women, marking the ‘social search’ experienced by the young woman and the ‘renaissance day’ by the mature woman.
