The changes in employment in recent decades invite us to consider the existence of a new working class. The article shows some data that leads us to confirm the process of precarisation and to increase the complexity of the composition of the working classes. The current situation could lead to the creation of a new class of service workers, provided that the difficulties of identification and awareness arising from the reality of the multisegmentation of labour markets, which fragments societies, can be overcome.
