Remotho sensory and limological components in the characterisation of Nhecoland Pantanal Lake Characterisation, Mato Grosso do Sul

Abstract

The clarity applied to research in flood areas is growing in Brazil. To that end, this search buscou associates remote sensing data and limological variables obtained in the field to distinguish ponds in the Pantanal da Nhecolas, a region with a wide and varied lake system with bay ponds. salt pans. 32 samples distributed in 31 ponds and one point in the Black River were collected over two campaigns the field was carried out in agosto/2012 and setembro/2013 during the Pantanal drought period. The variables studied were: total salinity (PPT), pH, alkalinity and hardness. For the differentiation of lakes in bays and saline, gerouse a GIS database (geographical information systems), where variables have been associated limouses obtained from the satellite image ALOS, AVNIR-2 sensor (IBGE, 2008), in colour R4G2B3. As results, of the sampled ponds, 20 were classified as bays and 11 in salt pans. The use of images ALOS AVNIR-2 were important for studies related to biodiversity and Pantanal conservation by allow differentiating lake systems in Pantanal and optimise field work, which are often expensive in terms of time and financial resources
