Abstract
This article enquires about the absence or invisibility of violence against women in the camp, with the municipality of Laranjeiras do Sul (PR) as a search locus. The methodology used is based on literature and documentary review, in addition to experience in the Municipal Council for Women’s Rights. The results point to the invisibility of domestic violence in the countryside, either because of a lack of information or by the patriarchate present in social relations, or by the difficulties experienced by peasants in reporting. We conclude that this is a silent violence, often in a larger number than in the urban area, taking into account the proportion of inhabitants.
