Abstract
Summary of the book "Cerado Frontier: Society and Nature in the West of Brazil ", organised by Sandro Dutra e Silva, José Paulo Pietrafesa, José Luiz Andrade Franco, José Augusto Drummond and Giovana Galvão Tavares. The work uses the concept of ‘frontier’ to bind related articles to society and the nature of Cerrado. The publication is a continuation of the partnership that led in 2012 to the book "Environmental History: borders, natural resources and nature conservation”. Taken together, it is a rather diverse collection of approaches, the articulating axis of which refers to occupation dynamics, challenges and disputes around the Cerrado. The book is recommended to interested researchers on the history and environment of Cerrado bioma, i.e. its environmental history.
