Abstract
The 1998 fire season in Mexico was exceptional. Meteorological events contributed to this. last year (mainly hurricanes and low temperatures) that caused large amounts of combustible material. 120 AVHRR images make an assessment of areas burnt between January and June. of 1998. 8 147 self-pixels are recorded for hot spot oscillines.In short, fire, during the period reference A reference database is used to review the accuracy of the map of burnt areas presented for 3 312 refresher sites, about 94 % of which were detected by the SATURACION levels of channel 3 of the AVHRR sensor.
