Abstract
Placing the recognition of creativity within its historical context, the author takes the view that creativity seeks to rediscover the unity of the poetic condition by restoring the origins of what is defined as ‘presence’. On the basis of the theory of information processing and cognitive psychology, the author in this letter justifies the function of creativity as the source of originality.
