Abstract
Based on the feminist criticism of science, this article analyses the public communication of scientific knowledge in Colombia. In particular, deliberate communication practices, promoted by scientists and scientists. The article was structured in two parts: it begins by understanding the gender biases that are at the basis of certain communication practices, especially visible in Colombia, and then focuses on practices promoting women scientists who self-designate Afro-descendants. The central question is: how do communication practices towards non-scientific audiences, which these scientists make, build particular senses of making science and being a female scientist?
