Abstract
This work is the result of four years of research. During 2007-2009, it is developing – we are developing the project “Learning at University. Representations, processes, strategies and factors involved”. The first cohort was made up of students and professors of science of education, political science, medicine and social work, who studied at UNCuyo (National University of Cuyo) and of Pedagogy at the UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro). In the Aprender project at university. Representations, processes, strategies and factors involved (2009-2011) are moving forward with a second cohort in which we consider the same institutions, careers and aspects under analysis in order to enrich the treatment of variables and to draw conclusions on a broader basis, without losing their relevance and applicability. The results allow two of the central assumptions to be maintained: that there are differences in the conceptualisation of learning that underpins students and teachers and that the main differences between students with/without difficulty to learn are in the processes and strategies they employ.
