Abstract
The production of architectural shapes is an act in which the project is built and the space is shaped. It is an action that structures the human environment. Architectural design is also a spatial production of shapes and exploration of compositional potential. Two approaches are relevant here: formalisation of architectural planning and analysis of architectural composition methods. The aim is, on the one hand, to understand the concept of architectural composition, organisation and configuration and, on the other hand, to break down, segment and morphologically characterise a set of architectural objects (window scenery) in order to highlight and explain the laws of the system of shapes they organise. The objective is to develop tools to assist architectural design in the context of project pedagogy and computerisation of architectural know-how. The establishment of a virtual environment and a device for the spatial materialisation of shapes provides operational assistance in architectural design.
