Abstract
The body is the bearer of social symbols where cultural notions come together, and it falls within the boundaries of social institutions; in this area of socialisation, it is where the concept of identity and body of each individual is included, but its expression towards erotisation takes different paths, not only from genders, but also from positions that include class, race, power, religious repression and other factors which make it possible for an erotified or eroding body to be conceived in some cultures as a natural human manifestation or by others, such as a taboo or a link to malicious forces. The aim is therefore to analyse briefly the intersection of three broad themes: erotism through desire, plastic arts and gender, which means reviewing their complexities and transgressions.
