Abstract
This article analyses a selection of comments published in two Costa Rican media news on the Facebook social network. It aims to understand how discursive violence and linguistic prejudice manifests in this particular type of interactions. The analysis is carried out from the theory of the spoken acts of Kaul de Marlangeon and Culpeper, as well as contributions to the symbolic violence of Bourdieu. Methodological guidance was followed for pragmatic discuralics for the analysis of clauses, and corpus language for working with data extracted from digital means. One of the main findings relates to the censorship experienced on social media by people who do not master the rule of written language, particularly in the field of spelling. With regard to spoken acts, it is concluded that the most common are those who use insult and sarcasm as a means of damaging the image of the interlocutor.
