Abstract
Our proposal is to activate the greatest talent of schools (their students), making them the engine of change that their school needs. How do we do it? Attracting them through a disruptive and exciting programme, with high technological content, which presents them with a real and social entrepreneurship challenge, guiding them and empowering them to achieve the goals we set them. The vehicle that makes sense of the programme is the Innovation Lab, where students decide, on a voluntary basis, to participate attracted by entrepreneurship and technology. It is a permanent programme, in which students, through a project-based learning methodology, work with the most up-to-date technologies and methodologies, such as cloud computing, design thinking, gamification, etc., combining online and off-line modes. The idea is probably the most ambitious in the current landscape. It is revolutionary and innovative, but perfectly aligned with the European Union’s Horizon 2020-Schools Edition report. Not only has it been shown to be achievable, but the results obtained are surprising, as you will see throughout this article.
