Poverty and deprivation in Spain

Abstract

This work analyses the situation of the Spanish adult population with regard to monetary poverty and deprivation in their living conditions. Together with this information, we can identify and estimate the population in consistent poverty. Having identified this population group at clear risk of social exclusion, as a result of its relative scarcity of resources and material deprivation in its living conditions, we characterise it according to various socio-economic variables. The statistical processing of this information, using a binomial logistical model, makes it possible to identify the elements that constitute risk factors or consistent protection against poverty. Abstract This work analyses the situation of the adult Spanish population with regard to monetary poverty and deprivation in their living conditions. Uniting this information we can identify and estimate the population in situation of consistent poverty. 11 identified this group of population in EVIDENT risk of social exclusion, derived from their relative shorter resources together with the material deprivation in their living conditions, we look at it according to different socio-economic variables. The statistical treatment of this information, across a logistic binomial model, peoples identifying the elements that constitute factors of risk or protection optionally to the consistent poverty.
