The mentoring of the brassiguaia child at the Brazilian border school

Abstract

The main theme of this article is the leaching of brasiguayan children on the Brazilian – Paraguay border, in the border towns Ponta Porã (Brazil) and Pedro Juan Caballero (Paraguay). The aim is to understand the experience of brassiguayan children in relation to Portuguese, guarani and Spanish languages in the various spheres of lecture of their cohabitation, identifying which language they use to communicate orally or in writing. The study was developed through a qualitative approach research of the descriptive type. The participants were seven Brasiguayan students who die in Paraguay and study in Brazil and one student with a residence in both countries, all 3th Year of Fundamental I students in a municipal school in Ponta Porã (MS). The technique used to obtain the data was the semi-structured interview, and the theoretical inputs were the New Letration Studies. The results indicate that children are able to live very well in virtually every beacon with Portuguese, Spanish and guarani. They demonstrate development and transit of magnitude between different spheres, with different functions in these three languages. The exception is the school scope, which is shown to be a major challenge because, at official times when the language is used, children are restricted to Portuguese, using guarani and Spanish only informally.
