INTENSITY OF MUSIC: Effect on Heart FRECUENCE AND SPECIFICATION DURING THE FISICAhttp ACTIVITY://65a28294-8b4e-4796-b535-af39cfe4b475.Music has been widely used in the practice of aerobic exercises in the sport industry. The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of different music intensities on heart rate (FC) and perceived stress (EP) during a standardised exercise on a cycloergometer. 13 men and 5 women volunteers, physically active (age 20.6 ± 2.2 years) carried out a test under three conditions on different days, assigned in a reactive measurement design: no music (NM), music at 70 dB, (M70) and music at 85 dB (M85). They were performed for 20 min. with a predetermined constant workload equivalent to 80 % of their FCMax (kp = 1.47 ± 0.4, 90 rev/min). The music used was of the ‘Merengue House’ type in Spanish with a tempo of 131 ± 4.30 BPM, the various intensities were calibrated with a sound-level meter. CF and EP were recorded at 10 and 20 min. with FC Polar monitor and Borg EP-15 scale < table border = “1” cellspacing = “0” cellpadding = “0” > < tbody > < tr > < td width = “76” valign = “top” > < h1 > Test </H1 > </td > < td width = “132” valign = “top” > FC 10 min. </td > < < < < td width = “132” valign = “top” > FC 20 min. </td > < td width = “142” valign = “top” > EP 10 min. </td > < td width = “126” valign = “top” > EP 20 min. </td > </tr > < tr > < twidth = “76” valign = “top” > NM </td > < td width = “132” valign = “top” > 164.78 ± 8.37 </td > < td width = “132” valign = “top” > 172.11 ± 8.54 </td > < td width = “142” valign = “top” > 12.06 ± 1.92 </td > < td width = “126” valign = “top” > 13.78 ± 2.58 </td > </tr > < tr > td width = “76” valign = “top” > M70 </td > < td width = “132” valign = “top” > 165.11 ± 11.16 </td > < td width = “132” valign = “top” > 173.00 ± 12.05 </td > < td width = “142” valign = “top” > 12.00 ± 2.11 </td > < td width = “126” valign = “top” > 13.56 ± 2.89 </td > </tr > < tr > td width = “76” valign = “top” > M85 </td > < td width = “132” valign = “top” > 163.00 ± 7.58 </td > < td width = “132” valign = “top” > 170.17 ± 7.87 </td > < td width = “142” valign = “top” > 11.50 ± 1.55 </td > < td width = “126” valign = “top” > 12.94 ± 2.07 </td > </tr > </tbody > </table > < div > </Div > Both for FC and EP a ANOVA 3 x 2 with repeated measures indicated that the averages at 20 min were significantly higher than at 10 min (p. 0.05). The differences in FC and EP between the three conditions were not significant (p. 0.05). The results indicate that the music intensity ranges studied M70 and M85 did not have an effect on EP and FC when performing standardised exercise on a cycloergometer compared to a condition without NM music.
