The research on the place of women in history, feminism and gender is carried out in many countries of the world, now has a wide reach and is already characterised by an avalanche literary growth. Against this background, the article characterises research on the history of women on Polish soils in the early modern era, which dates back to the second decade of the 21st century and reviews the various groups of source publications dedicated to and produced by women in the 16th-XVIII century (memorials, diaries and journey logs, correspondence, wills), which always influence the intensity of historical research. In turn, an overview of the monographic achievements of women’s historiography of the last decade has been presented in three contractual, extensive, thematic blocks: women inside and outside the family (body, sexuality, love and emotions and intra-family relations); their education and knowledge, working in cities and villages and conflicts with the law, and thirdly, women’s participation in politics, culture and religion. The work shows the further development of women’s studies in terms of increasing the number of jobs and the issues raised. It also draws attention to the need to use new research methods in a historian workshop, such as the Social Network Analysis (SNA) method proposed by sociologists and already successfully applied in western historical science. By signalling some of the research gaps in women’s history in the age of Oltopolska, which are not lacking for the next two centuries, the author points to the urgent need to write a scientific synthesis of women’s history on Polish soils.

Badania nad miejscem kobiet w historii, feminizmem i gender prowadzone są w wielu krajach świata, mają obecnie szeroki zasięg i charakteryzują się już wręcz lawinowym przyrostem literatury. Na tym tle artykuł charakteryzuje dorobek badań dotyczących historii kobiet na ziemiach polskich we wczesnej dobie nowożytnej, powstały w drugim dziesięcioleciu XXI w. Autor dokonuje w nim przeglądu różnych grup wydawnictw źródłowych zarówno poświęconych kobietom, jak i przez nie wytworzonych w XVI–XVIII w. (pamiętniki, diariusze i dzienniki podróży, korespondencja, testamenty), które zawsze wpływają na intensywność badań historycznych. Z kolei przegląd monograficznych osiągnięć historiografii kobiecej ostatniego dziesięciolecia został zaprezentowany w trzech umownych, rozbudowanych, blokach tematycznych: kobiety w rodzinie i poza nią (ciało, seksualność, miłość i emocje oraz relacje wewnątrzrodzinne); ich edukacja i wiedza, praca w miastach i na wsi oraz konflikty z prawem, i jako trzeci – udział kobiet w polityce, kulturze i religii. Praca wskazuje na dalszy rozwój studiów kobiecych w sensie przyrostu liczby prac i poruszanej problematyki. Zwraca także uwagę na potrzebę stosowania nowych metod badawczych w warsztacie historyka, jak np. metody analizy sieci społecznych (Social Network Analysis – SNA), zaproponowanej przez socjologów, i z powodzeniem stosowanej już w zachodniej nauce historycznej. Autor sygnalizując niektóre luki badawcze w historii kobiet w dobie staropolskiej, których nie brakuje także dla dwóch następnych stuleci, wskazuje na pilną potrzebę napisania naukowej syntezy dziejów kobiet na ziemiach polskich.

Badania nad historią kobiet w Polsce XVI–XVIII wieku w latach 2011–2020. Niezmienna atrakcyjność, ale czy nowe pytania?

The article analyses the authorship of the two Polish writers in the first half of the 19th century — Klementine from Tańsk Hoffmanowa and Narciza Żmichowski. The analysis was based on the concept of her own voice, defined on the basis of the theoretical assumptions made by Virginia Woolf on the history of women. The texts examined include selected journals and lists of writers, as well as some of their pedagogical and literary works. Ms Hoffmanova’s example shows that the authors who were the first to wipe the paths on the publishing market tended to take on the species considered to be less prestigious and, in their works, reproduced socially and culturally established female role models. The author’s own voice was heard more clearly in the next generation of publishing women, as illustrated by N. Żmichowski’s example.

W artykule przeanalizowano postawy autorskie dwóch polskich pisarek pierwszej połowy XIX w. – Klementyny z Tańskich Hoffmanowej i Narcyzy Żmichowskiej. Jako podstawę analizy przyjęto koncepcję własnego głosu, wyodrębnioną na podstawie teoretycznych założeń Virginii Woolf odnośnie historii autorstwa kobiecego. Analizowane teksty obejmują wybrane dzienniki oraz listy pisarek, jak też niektóre ich utwory pedagogiczne i literackie. Przykład K. Hoffmanowej pokazuje, że autorki, które jako pierwsze przecierały ścieżki na rynku wydawniczym podejmowały się na ogół gatunków uważanych za mniej prestiżowe, a w swoich utworach powielały ustalone społecznie i kulturowo wzory ról kobiecych. Własny głos autorek dał się słyszeć wyraźniej w następnym pokoleniu publikujących kobiet, co zostało zilustrowane na przykładzie N. Żmichowskiej.
