Characterisation of the occurrence of NICOS STRATEGY ACIDENTS reported to the INFORMATION SYSTEM OF NOTIFICATION EXPENDITURE (Sinan) BETWEEN THE YEARS OF 2007 AND 2016http://c229fbf0-43e4-97ef-37e9e-ef-7720878403e4. Accidents by perennial animals are an important public health issue in São Paulo’s state because of the number and severity of the cases. Those involving scorpions are among the most frequent in the region, which has reported high incidence rates. (Barros, 2014) Confirmation of the accident by motifs involves notification by the healthcare professional to the Notification Expenses Information System (Sinan). The available data collected by that system correspond to the official information that allows the study of its occurrence, as well as the definition of the magnitude of its distribution and the targeting of preventive actions in health. Epidemiological studies indicate that groups susceptible to escorpione accidents are construction workers, children and people who have greater contact with the peri-home environment, such as gardens and backyards. Working directly with wood, transport and handling of fruit and vegetables, which promote the presence of such arthropods (BRASIL, 2018), is also considered to be a risk factor. Scorpions can cause with their minced a human poisoning picture whose severity and evolution vary widely, with cases of death or temporary sequelae at work. (CARDOSO et al., 2009) This study consists of a retrospective descriptive observational study based on Sinan data between 2007 and 2016 in the state of São Paulo. The purpose of this research is to analyse the occurrence of escorpione accidents in the State of São Paulo between 2007 and 2016 and their characterisation, identifying the epidemiological profile in each municipality of São Paulo in that period. Methodology This is a descriptive and retrospective study analysing an online database, the Ministry of Health’s notifiable disease information system (Sinan), in which, among other things, accidents caused by poisonous animals occurring in the country are recorded. The study includes victims of scorpionous accidents in health facilities who had their data included in the system of aggravated notification — Sinan in the period from 2007 to 2017 in the State of São Paulo. The spatial distribution of the cases according to the municipality of occurrence was conducted with the help of the QGIS v. 3.2 programme from the Kernel maps. Partial results As regards the distribution of cases per month, generally scorpious accidents increase in the months corresponding to spring, with the highest in the study period occurring in October, equivalent to 11 % (10638/94940) of the cases. In relation to gênery, men are more committed than women, with these proportions being 57 % (53904/94904) and 43 % (41000/94904) respectively. The main age groups corresponded to the interval between 20 and 39 years with 33 % (31564/94939) and 40 and 59 years with 29 % (27966/94939), which confirms what epidemiological pattern expected for this worsening (BRASIL, 2018). For the most common breed, 74 % (62094/83945) declared as white. Most cases receive a final light rating of 94 % (86574/91145) which may represent a short time between mincing and answering.
Os acidentes por animais peçonhentos configuram importante tema de saúde pública no estado de São Paulo por conta da quantidade e da gravidade dos casos.
