He was targeted in this work assess the diversity of avifauna, outline some strategies for the conservation of fauna wild and analyse as bird diversity properties are related to the elements landscape, on a local scale. The methods used to register avifauna involved viewing/vocalisation at fixed points and mist nets distributed inside and across fragment. 50 days of fieldwork (520 hours of observation) were counted. 122 bird species belonging to 38 families were registered. In the winter period (May to August, 2007) there was a lower occurrence of fruity and nectívrous birds, possibly linked to the absence of fruit and flowers due to low temperatures and lack of rainfall. In the summer period, a higher flow of birds was observed, possibly related to offering fruit, flowers, grains, water and nesting and shelter sites in the study area. Although no endangered species have been detected, the number of species and families in the area were high in relation to the location and size of the fragment forestry. The most abundant bird families were Tyrannidae (23.7 %), followed by Thraupidae (9.8 %) and Emberezidae (7.3 %). In terms of areas, 32.7 % of species were registered in the edge environment and 46.7 % of species in the indoor environment. In relation to stratification, 36 % of species were detected in dossel, 14 % in medium stratum (sub-bosque) and 10.6 % in low stratum (shrubs and soil). For food gylds, 47.5 % of insectivorous species, 13.9 % of frugívores, 13.1 % of granivores, 9.0 % of onivores, 8.1 % of carnivorous, 7.3 % were observed. of nectarvores and 0.8 % of debris.
