Resumen
Objective of the Research: Characterisation of the Potencial de Uso conservationist of the municipalities of Manoel Viana and San Francisco de Assis, RS, Brazil. Methodology: Data on pedology, lithology and slopes have been ranked through Hierarchic Analysis of Processes. Subsequently, their values were weighted by the calculation of the PUC, which was carried out in the GIS GIS environment. The resulting map was compared to land use and cover in 1985 and 2020 and also to the land structure of the study area. Results: The resulting mapping showed that medium and high UCPs predominate in the study area, in addition to the lower intensity of sites with the very low, low or very high index. The land structure has been mainly distributed in locations with medium or high SMP, in addition to the slight detection of mini-apprentices in very low PUC and large properties in very high PUC. In relation to land use and cover, the growth of forest formations in low and medium UCPs was highlighted, while soya and pasture cultivation had advanced in all SCPs. Originality/Value: The work allows for the representation and quantitative analysis of the Potential of conservationist use through the use of free and accessible data, with a methodology that can be applied in different scenarios, including the inclusion of new variables.
