The EcoVo(i)ce project promotes community-based participatory research (CBPR) to develop a framework for the bottom-up monitoring of environmental problems directly by the local communities, using the concept of Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI). The main objective of the project is to develop a framework of local problem formulations for the bottom-up monitoring of areas of ecological concerns by using VGI tools and community engagement. We are a multidisciplinary team, composed of Environmental Science, Geography, Sociology and Communication Science experts within Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
