Abstract

The following study focuses on the language of documents dating from the Mamelouks Circassiens. These are thirty private documents drawn up between the year 784 and 929 of the Hégire (1382-1517) by registrars and relate to transactions relating to the sale or exchange of waqf property (religious property). All these documents can be found in Cairo, some in the archives of the Ministry of Waqf and others in the national archives. Through language, we can see the environment, the social environment, pol, etc.
