Abstract
This work presents a new teaching proposal for technical drawing classes (graphic expression), incorporating the ‘Design Process’ into the classroom. The methodology has been worked on an experimental basis, through a semi-workshop with a group of students from the Master’s degree in secondary education teachers (specialising in ‘Design, Imagen and Plastic Arts’) at the University of Almería (Spain). The aim is to provide future teachers with alternative perspectives and tools that project more dynamism in teaching and learning about the subject. The seminar was conducted following a co-participation (docent-student) approach. In addition, the concept of design and its difficulties in addressing its definition was initially reflected. With regard to the analysis of experience, different methodological procedures have been linked: NPS Index (Net Promoter Score), Likert scale of 0-10 points and descriptive statistics. The findings suggest that the proposed methodological approach is useful for the future teachers of the technical drawing subject, and supports the development of creativity among learners. This proposal could be part of the nascent educational philosophy “STEAM”, interlinking different professional disciplines, such as engineering, art and design.
